The fires were big news and all, but I didn't really realize it until the haze from the smoke made the light all funny. At ten in the morning the light was sunset-colored but coming from the wrong direction... really weird. Pink light and a hazy sky. Red sun and moon.
Anyway, if you look at this little sculpture you can see some of the pink shadows and maybe you'll notice the warm tone of the ground outside.
